Unsounds is an independent music imprint run from Amsterdam and Brussels by three artists from different, overlapping fields. We work in close collaboration with the composers, musicians, makers who trust us with their projects. Our goal is to give exposure to the works in the present, and to give those works a place in the complex history of music and art making in the future. The music on our label reflects the fluidity of a musical world as we experience it around us, where contemporary, experimental, improvisation, noise and pop cross paths. The label has a particular interest in creating an environment where design, photography and texts play a prominent role in contextualizing each projects.
