MUSIC LABEL FOR CONTEMPORARY COMPOSITION EXPERIMENTAL IMPROVISATION SOUND ART

  • TRANSFER/2: PRINCESS IN A CAR | Anne-James Chaton + Andy Moor

Side A takes us on a melancholy journey through Princess Diana's last hours. Chaton recalls in a semi-detached tone a list of her activities and general state of mind in her final hours. The music by Andy Moor has a slow pulse with guitar samples and a rhythm track from fellow collaborator and label mate Yannis Kyriakides.

Side B, though less tragic in delivery, has an equally haunting epilogue, as Chaton lists all the cars owned by Grace Kelly until the Rover P36500S that she had her fatal accident in. The music is again slow and hypnotic in rhythm, using guitar samples and a big dubstep bass sound. Short excerpts of Grace Kelly's voice are interspersed within Anne-James' text.

Comes in a poster sized folded sleeve.
